Wondering if you or your company are actually creating social impact?

Hi! My name is Wynn, and I can support you in your journey.

Wynn Kwan

About Me

I am a skeptical critical thinker that is optimistic about the future. Combining my business experience, equity mindset, and lived experience, I operate with a systemic and intersectional lens, with a particular focus on lessening power dynamics and saviorism.

I am and have been an active leader, facilitator, participant, and learner in community groups, business communities, and BIPOC-led outdoors organizations. I speak about performative culture, broadening conversations, and social impact.

I love exploring, engaging in curious conversations, and bathing in the silly, joyful moments that adulthood can sometimes chip away at. We must stop ignoring the social and environmental issues of our world, but we must also seek out humor, joy, community, and art as we continue on this journey.

Selected Work

Diversity in Sustainability

I analyzed research for Diversity in Sustainability, an organization focused on equipping current and future BIPOC sustainability leaders, and their first State of Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Sustainability Survey.

PGM One

I am on the Leaders Council for PGM One and am currently co-leading the Asian + Pacific Islander Affinity Group. I facilitate conversations with leaders of color in the environmental and outdoors field.

Justice Outside

I support Justice Outside in a variety of contexts, including development, program support, and marketing. I have facilitated workshops about diversity, equity, and representation to young adults and started inclusion conversations with outdoor partner organizations.

Director of Impact

I was the Director of Impact at a global fair trade artisan startup and spearheaded the company’s social impact strategy and department. Some of the efforts included leading 20 staff members to revise the company’s mission and vision, creating new ethical storytelling standards, and working with 100+ artisan groups to create more equitable partnerships. To view some of the projects, see the consumer-facing Impact Report.

Mastermind Facilitator

I was a mastermind facilitator for a United Nations-aligned organization and led weekly conversations about intrapreneurship and leadership with young changemakers around the world. I also planned and spoke at cross-cultural webinars focused on the Sustainable Development Goals.

Change is the immediate responsibility of each of us, wherever and however we are standing, in whatever arena we choose.

I am available for speaking engagements with groups and organizations that recognize that the status quo is no longer working. I speak about performative culture, broadening conversations, and social impact, and I’d love to host a conversation with your team.
